OC Projector Rentals is a locally owned Huntington Beach company run by founder Kahlil Padgham, who has spent over 15 years in professional AV — including years manufacturing projectors in Guangzhou, China, before bringing that equipment knowledge home to Orange County events.

Our Story

Before renting AV gear, we built it. Back around 2006, Kahlil was manufacturing budget consumer projectors by the thousands in Guangzhou, China. Building for the mass market is an education: you learn exactly where cheap hardware cuts corners — the lamps, the optics, the cooling — and it's what pushed him toward the opposite end of the spectrum, professional-grade AV equipment.

That's the gear this business runs on today. The factory years mean we judge equipment at the component level — which lamp fights afternoon glare, which screen holds up in coastal evening wind — and the rental years mean we only carry what survives real events, week after week.

From there he ran his own AV rental business in Australia before bringing the operation to California. Huntington Beach has been home base ever since.
